Creative Writing

I love to write, and outside of the classroom, I’ve taken on many different projects over the years. I’ve written articles, essays, poems, songs, and books.

Over the years I have written essays, poems, and stories for UCLA’s 2020 Writing Project. I have written a retrospective on the TV show, Chuck, for Geekscape.com and articles for websites like GamersDecide.net as well as TeacherLoanGuide.com.

While in college at Cal Poly SLO, I wrote a one act play about a man who invents the robot son he never had. I’ve also written two picture books called Noah’s HoliDay, and Ruby the Dinosaur.

UCLA Writing Project

In the Summer of 2020, I was a Fellow of the UCLA Writing Project and I wrote several short-form essays, poems, and articles. 2 of these stories made it into the Annual Writing Project Anthology.

One of the stories is called “What’s in a Name” and it’s about my journey with my name and the many nicknames I’ve picked up along the way.

One of the stories is called “Rainy Pizza” and it’s about how sometimes serendipity and unexpected joy.
